"A theatre goer since I was 2,
I am now 26, I can not recall being as moved in so many directions
as I was while watching Wicked."
- Matt B.
"If I could pick where I had
to die, It would be at a performance of Wicked. If I could pick
the last words that I heard, It would be the last note of the song
"Defying Gravity." This show is utterly amazing!"
- Jen M.
"Wicked is a musical that does
best what musicals are supposed to do: transport the audience beyond
the world they know. Whether you dream of being Galinda/Glinda,
the toast of society, or Elphaba, the beautifully misinterpreted
outcast, Oz inspires you. What more is theater for?"
- Hols F.
"Wicked did it all for me. Wit,
charm, excitement, romance, surprises, it's all there. If you're
going to see a show in New York, see Wicked."
- John H.

Gammage Auditorium Information
You don't have to be in New York to enjoy great performances. Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium, considered by many to be the crowning jewel of ASU's Tempe campus, is one of Frank Lloyd Wright's last designs. Wright designed the building to be as acoustically perfect as possible. This means that every seat is a great seat for the many M&I Bank Broadway in Arizona series performances (Phantom of the Opera, Chicago and Miss Saigon to name a few) and performing arts groups on stage throughout the year. ASU students are eligible for discounts for select performances.
Gammage is also the location for many university traditions and special graduation celebrations at the close of each semester.
Constructed in 1964, the building is named for Dr. Grady Gammage, the legendary ASU president who led Arizona State College's victorious campaign in the state legislature for a name change to Arizona State University in 1958.
ASU'S GAMMAGE AUDITORIUM is located in the midst of a bustling and dynamic campus community. Just like New York's Great White Way, parking is at a premium. While attending Valley Broadway Series events, patrons are encouraged to arrive at least forty-five minutes early to find the best parking, and to ensure that you are comfortably seated inside when the curtain rises.
Patrons have two primary parking options at Gammage. Many patrons who arrive early are able to park in ASU Lot 3, which surrounds Gammage. Later arriving guests are recommended to avoid Lot 3 and proceed directly to ASU Parking Structure 1, located just one block east of Gammage. Please call the Gammage box office at 480.965.3434 with parking questions.
Helpful hint: Parking Structure 1 is much easier to exit than Lot 3, allowing patrons to be on their way more quickly following a performance.
